What the narration says, word for word (translated from the Spanish voice-over).
In this video: how a restaurant's monthly schedule gets built, from an empty month to a fully staffed one.
This is a restaurant's monthly schedule, the Planilla. It's empty: not a single shift assigned yet. On the left is the Dotación, the staff, each person with their contract. Across the top, the days of the month. The venue's setup is already loaded: the shifts that exist, the coverage each service needs, and the labour rules. Now the whole month gets composed. Before it does, Batuta says exactly what it is about to replace. Cells the supervisor pinned by hand stay untouched, and weeks already approved or published aren't touched either: what was decided, stands. The engine builds the schedule within the rules: coverage for each service, the two Sundays off per month required by law, each contract's hours cap, and the rest between shifts.
Done. The whole month, every shift placed where the rules allow, and the summary above: assigned versus contracted hours, overtime with its cost, and zero coverage gaps. From here the supervisor does what no machine can: review with judgement, adjust what only they know about their team, and publish.
